205 MPH: World's Fastest C8 Corvette

The new Chevrolet C8 Corvette rocked the industry with its introduction in 2020. The all-new sports car, boasting a mid-engine architecture, was elevated to a new performance category with its world-class engineering and innovative technology. And, without dispute, the stock factory performance of the new C8 Corvette Stingray made it the fastest and most track-capable ‘Vette in the model’s history.

Following the mid-engine Corvette Stingray’s unveiling, the Hennessey Performance team wasted no time engineering enhancements and performance improvements for Corvette enthusiasts everywhere. Within the first year of R&D, Hennessey successfully captured the World Record for the fastest top speed recorded in a new C8 Corvette. Featuring Hennessey’s custom stainless C8 catback exhaust system, a new high-flow intake, and a Nitrous Express performance kit, the Hennessey C8 Corvette accomplished a top speed of 205.1 mph at the Continental Tire Proving Grounds on May 8, 2020.

Fast forward to 2022. Today, Hennessey has entered the final testing stage on a new forced induction performance package for the C8. Although performance numbers and pricing have yet to be released, the supercharged upgrade is bound to rival the specs of the upcoming flagship C8 Z06.
